FCAA has an open position for a Commercial Lines Account Manager

The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible to market, quote, and bind new business, build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with agents and carrier underwriters, serve as liaison between clients and insurance carriers, and provide excellent client service to all FCAA agents.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Review assigned incoming new business applications for accuracy according to FCAA guidelines and take necessary steps to locate missing or incomplete information
  • Market risk based on appropriate research and knowledge of the applicant’s business and geographic location
  • Follow-up on quotes to bind policies and close new business
  • Interpret insurance coverages and pricing for agents and insureds
  • Provide timely, courteous, and quality customer service to FCAA agents
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with carrier underwriters and FCAA agents within the assigned territory
  • Ensure all job duties are performed in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations
  • Demonstrate commitment to all brokerage unit goals and objectives as set by the Brokerage Unit Manager and/or the President
  • Follow all guidelines and procedures as defined in the FCAA Handbook
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required

  • BS in Finance, Business, other related degree, or the equivalent of 3-5 years’ experience in the industry
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products including Word and Excel
  • P&C License
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance plans and carriers
  • Detail-oriented, independently motivated
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task

Preferred

  • Insurance Designations – CIC, CPCU, AIC, etc.
